My Favorite Things

Cupcakes has now went mainstream , as Gonuts Donuts and Brownies are now offering it. I've only tried Gonuts only. It's cheaper compared to Cupcakes by Sonja, only P30. I love Strawberry Shortcake, Cookies and Cream and Scream Cheese.

We were dismayed that our aunt also bought us Deathly Hollows. But turns out it was Bloomsbury Edition, the UK publisher of Harry Potter. My Harry Potter is complete. All I need now is quality time.

must diet...must read...!

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya or Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuutsu

The story is narrated by Kyon, an ordinary highschool boy who inspired Haruhi to create SOS Brigade. It doesn't hurt to mention that his fellow memberes are an alien, time traveler and esper, all who are investigating or perhaps willed by the center of the universe--Haruhi. They mainly have to keep Haruhi entertained or she might unknowingly replace erm destroy the universe. The episodes are curiously aired in random order which really saved the best for last.

Ouran High School Host Club

I've watched this months ago. Haruhi Fujioka accidentally stumbled upon a silly high school club of boys aimed to entertain the rich student body and was blackmailed to serving the group. Haruhi, yes same name, is in fact a girl. The plot is silly and funny and consciously banked on anime stereotypes, but in the end everything made sense.

Both animes are about school clubs, both have the same female protagonist named Haruhi (who both chopped off their locks) and both endings have made an impact on me that I kept on replaying the sweetest scenes on my mind. I am really hoping for second seasons for this two.

We went out for an Friday the 13th impromptu date at Trinoma or Triangle North of Manila. I've been hearing that it looks like mini-me Glorietta but it kind of reminded me of a bigger version of Market Market. It has al fresco bars and restaurants that is supposed to be patterned after Greenbelt but it felt like I was in Gateway instead. The cinemas are like Eastwood with the movable armseats and reclined seats. But whatever hearsays uhmm you hear, you can be sure it hit a goldmine in the heart of Quezon City. No wonder SM North is having a makeover. Trinoma is even accessible by MRT and just 15-minute ride from home at night. Another shopping haven for me. :)

Dolores Umbridge, the pink villainess.

Almost movie franchises left you disappointed except for some few like Die Hard 4, Blade 2 and I can't seem to recall a good movie at moment. But moving on, You can't resist to watch the latest installment to see if it has topped the original. Saw 3,T3, Ocean's 13,MI3, Matrix Revolutions, LOTR Return of the King, Xmen: The Last Stand, POTC: At World's End, Shrek The Third, Spiderman 3..the 'coming soon' movies Bourne Uitimatum, Mummy 3, Rush Hour 3. Sometimes we don't even know that there was a third part on DVD release with a
different actor on the lead. But nothing beats series who moved beyond trilogies like Hannibal, Harry Potter, Batman, Scary Movie (!), Superman,Star Wars, James Bond and then Indiana Jones.

I love kawaii pop art. Is electrolychee inspired by tokidoki?

I hate the Death Note ending! The anime shows different perspectives of morality. It's choosing the lesser evil or justifying the means to gain righteousness or there is no gray in-between it's just simple good or bad. I wasn't expecting the anti-climatic ending. I got carried away that I forgot that he was an anti-hero and that the good always prevail blah blah and that the sunshine never sleeps on teletubbies land.

I was thinking of buying a PDA phone or qwerty phone but I changed my mind and bought N80i or internet edition. I chose this because of the 3.0 megapixels camera and wifi capability on top of 3G, mp3 player with loudspeakers, 512 mb SD card, video, radio etc. and its not more than 20k. I can even upload picture straight from my phone while browsing Friendster though a wifi hotspot. It's like a laptop, digicam and iPod rolled into one. Currently I've been signing up Americans for muni wifi services and it's selling like hotcakes. The dowt'snside is we can't get a life even if it's Fourth of July and I can't swap to get a Saturday nigt off! Grrr! I don't even know how much I'm earning for each sale. haha!
